"Delicate Girl is a song about meeting someone that you're never gonna see again." - Chris Collins, lead vocalist, Planet of the Stereos
"Delicate Girl" is the title of a song I really love nowadays. I discovered it in my phone... it turned out to be a composition by an Australian band called Planet of the Stereos (formerly The View).
I especially like the message of the song... Haven't we all experienced that kind of feeling before? Life can be so fleeting... faces, memories pass by ever so quickly... like the pages of a book blown by the wind...
I still believe, though... that it's up to us to nurture relationships... despite the distance. This song reminds me to live, really live and cherish each moment with special people in our lives.
I also think we're all "delicate," meaning we are all vulnerable, in a way. We need each other. And we need to listen more, to give more and to love more.
Here is the music video for "Delicate Girl." Let me know what you think :)

It's a nice song, Louise! It can pass as a good background music too (for tv series like Ally McBeal, Smallville, Greys Anatomy, Ghost Whisperer and the like)whatyathink? And one more question, how come that you discover songs like these on your phone??
Yes, life can be so fleeting. Imagine we used to milk cows, catch "baby pigs" and do video productions from one brgy to another way back then ...
hello eyna! here's how i "discovered" the song on my phone: apparently the music group that sang "delicate girl" won Nokia's Be Heard contest last year. so my guess is their song is included in every new phone that comes out, including mine.
hehe... i hope that satisfies...
yes, i remember the days when we milked cows, ear-tagged baby pigs and produced videos and stuff...
i hope you are doing well :) stay beautiful! mwah!
hi louie! i read all your entries and i really admire what you wrote. keep it up!
also, you've written about life fleeting before our very eyes. i found it so fitting to what i've felt when my cousin passed away just a few weeks ago. my sister told me how grave his situation had become in a matter of three days. on the fourth day, my youngest sister sent me a message asking for prayers for his soul. i was hoping so hard that he get through it, and hearing that he passed away was heart breaking. he was like a brother to us, the one we never had. he's as old as my youngest sister, both of them turned 21 last oct. knowing that we'll never see him again is just so sad.
pinaiyak mo ko louie.
